We believe that our recruitment process is two-way

We believe that our recruitment process is two-way. It is as much about us finding the right people as it is about you finding your perfect job. We genuinely want people who are considering joining Story Contracting to feel as excited about the prospect of joining us as we hope our customers feel when working with us. To ensure we recruit quality people into our business we take each candidate through a thorough recruitment process.

Application and assessment BLUE - Process

FIRST STAGE
Application and Assessment

Apply via our website or send your speculative covering letter and CV to our HR team. If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be invited to our Assessment Centre Day where you will participate in a variety of different exercises.

Technical Interview GREY- Process

SECOND STAGE
Technical Interview

If you are successful at the Assessment Centre, you may then be invited to attend an interview or a further practical assessment where we will assess your ability and cultural fit.

Candidate Qs BLUE - Process

THIRD STAGE
Candidate Questions

We believe that this process should allow you, as a candidate, to make an informed decision as to whether Story Contracting is the right company for you. We encourage you to ask questions at all stages of this process.

Employment offer GREY - Process

FOURTH STAGE
Offer of Employment

If you choose to accept an offer, we will provide you with the tools to develop via our Apprentice Pathway to ensure you are able to be as successful as possible, as early as possible in your career.

The approach of the Apprentice Programme, along with the courses I have attended such as health and safety, blend well to make you feel part of ‘Team Story’ and prepare you for how well prepared we need to be for working on sites.

Matt Davies

Apprentice General Operative

I take great satisfaction in my role at Story Contracting, especially with the electrical activities. When you have spent a lot of time wiring something up it makes it worthwhile when you switch it on and everything works as it should.
