This summer, Story Contracting invites you to step inside the world of STEM and explore the huge variety of careers that bring construction projects to life.
Our Summer School Work Experience Monday 29 June – Thursday 2 July in Middlesbrough gives students in Year 12 the chance to discover roles across the whole industry — from engineering and project management to business support, digital, environmental, people-focused roles and more. You’ll take part in hands-on challenges and explore how different teams work together to deliver major projects.
Throughout the week, you will:
- Take part in practical activities and real problem‑solving challenges
- Work with teams across departments such as engineering, project management, finance, health & safety, HR, and other key areas that keep our projects moving
- Meet people at all stages of their career, from apprentices and graduates to members of our senior team, all with different stories of how they began in the industry
- Build valuable skills for your CV, personal statement, and future applications
- Get exclusive behind‑the‑scenes access to a live Story construction site to see many careers in action
