We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our growing Energy division in Scotland - there has never been a better time to join!

 

THE ROLE

You will be part of our Energy team, responsible for managing your own team in the delivery of renewable energy projects in a Civils based environment throughout Scotland. 

Our ideal candidate will have a variety of Civils experience, such as reinforced concrete structures and bridges, large scale earthworks operations, underground services/drainage, and road construction. 

You will be responsible for the overall management of your project, with autonomy to deliver your programme of works. 

You would report into the Senior Contracts Manager and have the below key responsibilities. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and manage renewable energy projects across Scotland.
  • Lead teams through design, development and delivery with effective project management.
  • Delivery of a portfolio of schemes.
  • Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Lead by example to embed high HSQE standards in project teams.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and reports.
  • Commercially engage with Quantity Surveyors and Clients.
  • Manage and develop a team of people.
  • Lead project teams and promote a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Contribute to growth and engage new Clients.
  • Ensure engineering compliance and strive for engineering excellence.
  • Tender input.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 7+ years experience of working in the Civils industry, particularly infrastructure projects with a focus on renewable energy.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of workload effectivley.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Programming experience.
  • Cost control experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong client relationship management experience.
  • Flexible and willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • SMSTS 5 Day Site Safety certified, preferred but not essential (training can be provided).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. 

 

THE ESSENTIALS:

  • Valid CSCS Manager card
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Full First Aid certified.
  • Qualified to degree level in civil engineering or HNC / HND.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale civils projects.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
