The Role
As a HSQE Advisor you will provide assurance, guidance and support ensuring the safe operation of sites, to comply with all Health and Safety regulatory and legislative requirements.
You will be expected to:
- Support the HSQE Lead to create a culture that promotes Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Safety in the workplace.
- Monitor and accurately report on HSQE compliance.
- Conduct accident investigations ensuring problems are appropriately addressed and rectified.
Location
You’ll be based at our Normanton office with frequent travel to project sites.
We’re happy to discuss flexibility in how you balance site time, home, and office working, depending on project needs.

Ideally, you’ll bring:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH Diploma
- Experience and expertise gained in working in a similar role
- Experience in accident investigation and root cause analysis
- Ability to engage with Site Managers and Colleagues to gain buy in to H&S agenda
- Excellent IT and reporting skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work on one’s own initiative
- Identify risk to the business and opportunities for improvement
- Forward thinking with ability to predict future risk profile based on work pipeline
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to deliver educational tools / training and development initiatives.

Location
Please note: Our office is currently based in Normanton. In the coming months, we will be relocating to a site situated a short distance from Junction 41 of the M1 motorway and approximately one mile from Wakefield City Centre. The new location is well‑served by public transport and benefits from a range of amenities within a few minutes’ walk.
