Trainer Assessor

We have an exciting opportunity for a Small Tools Trainer/Assessor to join our dedicated training department based from our main offices in Carlisle – There has never been a better time to join!
The Role
The role of Trainer/Assessor will involve designing and delivering training/assessments to colleagues across Story Contracting and external customers nationwide to ensure they are fully effective and competent in their role. This is an entry level role and would ideally suit someone who is looking to use their knowledge skill and experience gained through work to teach others. Support and development in the role will be given to take your training career to the highest level eventually training Plant/Safety Critical courses.
As a Trainer/Assessor, you will support our Health and Safety culture, role model best practice and up hold competence on a day to day basis. This will involve conducting technical training/assessments of our colleagues and external customers providing guidance and advice on any issues job related.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex matters using effective language and methods.
You must have strong organisational skills and be focused on delivering objectives and targets to a high standard. An enthusiastic team player with a desire to continually learn is an essential requirement.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Must be able to drive and have a full UK Driving Licence
- You will have the confidence to be able to deliver training 1:1 or to a number of people at any one time
- Some experience of designing and facilitating training events would be desirable but not essential
- Relevant work experience in a Plant/Construction/Small Tools environment would be desirable
