Lead Track Access Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Track Access Planner to join our Rail Division, based from our Birmingham office - and there has never been a better time to join!

The Role

As a Lead Track Access Planner at Story Contracting you will proactively and effectively lead and manage the track access requirements for the business; ensuring delivery of a High quality service in accordance with Story and Network Rail procedures.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Ensure that track access requirements are understood and secured to allow successful delivery of the Workbank
  • Maintain records and systems and produce high quality documentation relevant to track access:
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships
  • Coordinate the long-term access working with our senior regional planners 
  • PDSW / 019 Roles & Responsibility’s including managing our Risks Audit and fulfil the requirements of the Senior Manager Responsible.   
  • Support the Senior Access Planner’s in our other regions
  • Manage and deliver your own portfolio of work

The Ideal Candidate:

  • SSOWP qualified with experience of working in GZAC, PPS and NROL
  • SWL2 / PDSW Planner / Issuer preferred
  • PTS certification required (COSS & ES desirable) with a strong operational knowledge of SSOW and Railway operations
  • Excellent working knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures, DPPP and DWWP
  • Knowledge of working in the LNW, LNE & Scotland regions desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail, IT knowledge and written skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Strong team player
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
  • Safety focussed
