Senior Quantity Surveyor

We have two exciting opportunities for a Senior Quantity Surveyor’s to join our Major Project Team within our Rail Division, based from our Birmingham office - and there has never been a better time to join!
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor at Story Contracting you will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will manage project costs from concept to completion and through to the end of defects liability, overseeing contractual commitments, challenging and supporting to identify best value solutions.
With excellent communication skills, you will be client focused with the ability to build and manage effective relationships with multiple stakeholders, internal colleagues and supply chain partners.

The Ideal Candidate:
A commercial qualification and have CVR and Target Cost experience in addition to ICC & NEC3 Forms of Contract knowledge
Experience of working within the rail industry, infrastructure, civils and frameworks.
Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
Ability to develop close relationships, particularly with the key influencers for the Project
A well organised and disciplined approach, demonstrating the ability to accurately analyse and report on information gained
Confidence to work on own initiative with good planning and preparation skills
