Story Contracting is growing and we now have a vacancy for a full-time Temporary Purchasing Assistant based at our Carlisle Office for a period of 9 months.
Reporting to a Buyer, you will organise the hiring of external Plant for our internal customers, liaising with suppliers and ensuring all orders are processed correctly.
Key responsibilities include;
You will need to have strong IT and organisational skills, be conscientious and driven, with experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
You must also have a personable manner, able to remain calm and professional at all times whilst dealing with internal clients and external suppliers.
Knowledge of large and small Plant machinery would be preferred; however, training will be given to the right candidate.
In return for your hard work and enthusiasm combined with a desire to make a real contribution, you will receive a salary of £19337.50pa and numerous other benefits including, cycle to work, childcare vouchers and national retail discounts.
Hours of work will be 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday.
