We have an exciting opportunity for a Foreman to join our Rail Division, based from our Normanton Office - and there has never been a better time to join!

The Role

As a foreman, you will be responsible for the supervision of multiple sites, management of staff and completion of site documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively mobilise resources to deliver the agreed works
  • Effectively and safely manage site equipment and premises
  • Ensure accurate recording and management of site information
  • Effectively mobilise resources to deliver the agreed works

  • Develop and manage the performance of site colleagues effectively and safely
  • Manage Multiple work sites
  • Mentor Gangers to increase knowledge and capability

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience of Railway infrastructure working P-Way and Civils
  • PTS certified
  • CSCS and CPCS certified
  • SSSTS or SMSTS competence
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Full First Aid certified
  • Good communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience of rail industry
  • Ability to lead and supervise a team 
  • Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility and versatility
  • COSS competent or strong awareness
  • Basic setting out
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks; showing strong delegation skills to manage productivity
