The aim of the course is to provide delegates with the skills and underpinning knowledge required to undertake Engineering Supervisor duties in line with the Engineering Supervisor unit of competence.
To develop an understanding of what is required to be in charge of a work-site within a possession to establish, maintain and give up work-sites and authorise the movement of trains into or within the worksite.
The re-assessment process enables people to be updated on changes in rules or Railway Group Standards and also checks that levels of understanding and awareness are maintained.
- Each delegate must produce an Engineering Supervisor Work Experience Book with entries as detailed
NR/L2/CTM/021 (Min 4 entries). In addition to the 4 entries this workbook must be reviewed and endorsed by the line manage towards the back. A record of this must be recorded by the trainer. Any delegates not producing this evidence will not be permitted to take the course.
- Have a good level of literacy to meet Entry Qualifications.
- Meet the requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol)
